Early Morning Earthquake in Illinois

In the early hours of Monday, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake struck approximately two kilometers northwest of Somonauk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The tremor, which occurred around 2:53 AM, was felt as far north as the Illinois/Wisconsin border and as far east as Chicago.
