Edgewater Apartments Implements New Security Measures to Combat Trespassing and Theft

Enhanced security measures have been implemented at Edgewater Apartments on Lakeshore Drive to address ongoing security issues, including trespassing, unwanted guests, and thefts. Key fobs restricting floor access, onsite security in the lobby, and tenant liaisons are among the changes introduced about a month ago. These initiatives have reportedly been successful, although specific costs are still unknown. The Nipissing District Social Services Administration Board has been proactive, with the board approving enhanced services and security measures effective March 1. Since then, there has been a notable decline in emergency service calls and security incidents. The board plans to discuss these measures with municipal ministers in August to evaluate their impact on taxpayers.
