BJP Leader Alleges ISI Behind Recent Terror Attacks in Jammu

BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, who oversees J&K and Ladakh, revealed on June 14 that Pakistan’s ISI is disturbed by the peaceful Lok Sabha elections in J&K. In response, Pakistani agencies have sent terrorists to disrupt the region’s peace. Recent attacks in Jammu & Kashmir’s Reasi, Kathua, and Doda districts have resulted in nine fatalities, including seven pilgrims and a CRPF jawan, while injuring seven others.
Chugh noted a shift in terrorist activities toward Jammu due to successful Army operations in the Kashmir Valley, frustrating Pakistan. DGP RR Swain mentioned that terrorists are aiming to create communal discord in Jammu, but security forces, with local support, are actively countering these threats. Chugh praised the local community for their vigilance, particularly in the recent Hiranagar encounter.
Chugh condemned Pakistan’s reaction to Kashmir’s progress and assured that security forces are committed to eliminating terrorists from Jammu, as they did in Kashmir. He emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy towards terrorism and highlighted the strengthened capabilities under Modi’s leadership.
