Lac La Ronge Indian Band Initiates Security Camera Rebate Program to Combat Crime

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band has initiated a rebate program for security cameras in response to rising crime concerns. Coun. Ann Ratt explained, “Crime has been escalating, and during two community meetings, there was significant concern from members about safety and crime. The idea for installing cameras was inspired by their presence in Air Ronge, leading us to consider it as a solution for our community.” The program offers a rebate of up to $250 for on-reserve 156A and B band members in La Ronge. This initiative started on May 13 and will continue until the designated funds are depleted.
