Chemical Leak Incident at KLIA Investigated by Fire and Rescue Department>

A suspected chemical leak occurred this morning at the Sepang Aircraft Engineering’s Southern Support Zone at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received the report at 11:23 AM via MERS 999. Six officers from the KLIA Fire and Rescue Department and a Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) team from Shah Alam were dispatched to the scene. Senior Fire and Rescue Department Commander Muhammad Nur Khairi Samsumin stated that the cause of the leak is still under investigation. A video of the incident showing a group of people at the location has gone viral on social media.
