Detroit, MI – Jibreel Pratt, a 25-year-old Detroit resident, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly attempting to provide financial support to the terrorist group ISIS, according to FOX 2 (WJBK). Charged with two counts of attempting to provide currency and monetary instruments to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham in March and May 2023, Pratt could face up to 40 years in prison if convicted on both counts.
The arrest was executed by the FBI at Pratt’s home, with plans for him to make an initial appearance in U.S. District Court the same day. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan has flagged Pratt as a flight risk and a danger to the community.
