Netanyahu Vows to Free All Hostages After Meeting with Rescued Families
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed a recent rescue operation as “remarkable” after meeting with freed hostages and their families. Netanyahu emphasized Israel’s resolve to secure the release of all hostages held by Hamas, declaring that the nation would take any necessary measures to bring them home. He condemned Hamas for committing war crimes, including the taking of hostages. Four hostages, held for over eight months, were rescued from Gaza in a special operation by Israeli forces. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated the hostages were held in civilian areas, making the rescue complex. At least 150 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids on Saturday. A U.S. official confirmed that America has been sharing intelligence and expertise with Israel since October 7 but noted that no American troops were involved in the rescue operation.
