Man Dies in Shooting Incident at Job Site in Pinch, WV
In PINCH, W.Va., a 64-year-old man was fatally shot after reportedly causing a disturbance at a job site, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred late Friday night when the man approached some oil company trucks on Upper Pinch Road, exited his vehicle, and began causing a scene. The situation escalated when the man allegedly brandished a firearm, prompting a security guard to shoot him, resulting in his death from a single gunshot wound. TC Energy, confirming that the altercation took place near one of their well sites, stated that an off-duty officer working as security was involved. Following the incident, TC Energy activated their emergency response procedures and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation by local law enforcement. Although the incident is under investigation, deputies have indicated that charges are not expected to be filed.
