TDP and Allies Secure Landslide Victory in Andhra Pradesh Elections
In a remarkable turn of events in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu spearheaded a monumental victory, leading his party and its allies to a sweeping landslide win. The incumbent Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and his YSR Congress Party faced a staggering defeat, securing only 11 seats out of the 175 available, contrary to their confident expectations of a strong return to power. TDP alone clinched 135 seats, while its ally, Jana Sena, led by Pawan Kalyan, captured all the 21 seats it contested, marking a significant political shift in the state.
