Pathfoot Transforms for BBC Lockerbie Drama Filming
The BBC is creating a six-part drama about the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, transforming Pathfoot into the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, for the filming. The drama, unlike Sky’s version, which focuses on Dr. Jim Swire’s quest for justice, will highlight the joint Scots-US investigation and its impact on Lockerbie and the affected families. The cast includes notable actors like Connor Swindells, Patrick J. Adams, and Merritt Weaver. Filming has taken place in various locations, including Scotland, and will continue in Malta and Toronto. The series will debut on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and later on Netflix worldwide. The project was initiated by filmmaker Adam Morane-Griffiths, who conducted extensive interviews with involved Scottish and US investigators.
