Bus Falls into Gorge in J&K After Terror Attack, 9 Dead

In a tragic incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Sunday, at least nine people were killed and 33 others injured after a bus carrying pilgrims plunged into a deep gorge following a terrorist attack. The terrorist group Lashkar-backed TRF has claimed responsibility for the attack. The victims were en route from the Shiv Khori temple to the Vaishno Devi shrine. Prior intelligence had flagged the Shiv Khori temple for a potential attack, leading to increased security measures. Despite the bus driver’s brave attempts to steer the vehicle to safety after being shot, the bus ultimately fell into the gorge. Security forces are now conducting a search operation, utilizing drones to locate the terrorists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure the injured receive the best medical care and has pledged that those responsible will be punished.
