North Philadelphia Tragedy: Domestic Violence Incident Leads to Homicide Investigation
North Philadelphia – A tragic domestic violence incident has escalated into a homicide investigation after a 21-year-old man was charged with murder. Early Saturday morning, police responded to a medical emergency on the 1400 block of Willington Street. Officers discovered 20-year-old Milan Jones, a Temple University nursing student, unresponsive with blunt force trauma on the second floor of a dwelling. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested 21-year-old Tymir Lackey, also a Temple University student, who has been charged with murder and suspended from the school. Temple University released a statement expressing sorrow over Jones’ death, highlighting her promising future in nursing.
