Turkish Forces Neutralize Terrorists in Iraq and Syria
In a recent operation, Turkish security forces have “neutralized” four terrorists in northern Iraq and Syria, according to the National Defense Ministry. The Turkish Armed Forces targeted and neutralized two PKK terrorists in Iraq’s Gara region and two PKK/YPG terrorists in the Euphrates Shield region of northern Syria. The term “neutralize” is used by Turkish authorities to indicate that the terrorists either surrendered, were killed, or were captured. The PKK, recognized as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and the EU, has been involved in a nearly 40-year-long campaign against Türkiye, resulting in over 40,000 deaths, including women, children, and infants.
