Turkish Forces Neutralize PKK Terrorists in Northern Iraq
Turkish security forces have “neutralized” six PKK terrorists in northern Iraq’s Hakurk region, according to a statement from the National Defense Ministry on Wednesday. The ministry emphasized on X that operations will persist until all terrorists are eliminated from the area. The term “neutralize” is used by Turkish authorities to indicate that the terrorists either surrendered, were killed, or captured. The PKK, listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US, and the EU, has been responsible for over 40,000 deaths in its nearly 40-year campaign against Turkey.
