Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office Seizes Over $1 Million in Narcotics
In a significant operation on Wednesday, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) Narcotics Unit, supported by the LPSO SWAT Team, conducted a major drug bust in Lafayette, resulting in the seizure of over $1 million worth of illegal narcotics. The raid took place in the 200 block of Verot School Road, where agents discovered 14 pounds of methamphetamine and a handgun. Two suspects, 23-year-olds Jada Bentivolio and Christian Archangel, were arrested and are now facing charges related to the possession and intent to distribute methamphetamine. Archangel has an additional charge related to transactions involving drug proceeds. The investigation is ongoing, with more updates promised as the case develops.
