Rep. Jamaal Bowman Apologizes for Defending Hamas Allegations
WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., a member of the ultra-progressive congressional group "The Squad," issued an apology for his previous remarks dismissing allegations that Hamas raped women during its Oct. 7 attack on Israel. In a November social media clip, Bowman referred to such allegations as "propaganda." However, during a recent interview on WNYC, Bowman apologized, citing new evidence from the U.N. and affirming his commitment to fighting sexual and domestic violence. Bowman emphasized accountability for his mistakes. Additionally, he was one of 13 Democrats who voted against condemning Iran’s April attack on Israel, a move criticized by Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa.
