Tornado Warning Issued for State College Area

The National Weather Service (NWS) at State College has issued a severe thunderstorm warning, including a potential tornado, until 7 p.m. The storm is currently located over Walnut Bottom and moving east at 25 mph. Possible impacts include flying debris, damage to mobile homes, roofs, windows, and vehicles. The affected areas include Pine Grove Furnace around 6:30 PM EDT and Mount Holly Springs around 6:40 PM EDT, as well as Interstate 81 from mile markers 31 to 43. Residents are advised to take immediate cover in a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building, avoid windows, and seek substantial shelter if outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle.
