Inmate Charged with Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault After Holding Victim in Camper

The victim, who was held against her will for over 30 days inside a camper, managed to escape with the help of another individual.

Johnny Ray McNabb Jr., 26 of Seymour, was identified as the perpetrator in this case. The victim, who fled to Knoxville for treatment of her injuries, detailed the harrowing experience of being forced to use drugs, physically assaulted, and threatened by McNabb. She also mentioned that she tried to escape multiple times but was prevented from doing so by McNabb.

The victim’s bravery in seeking help and escaping from the camper is commendable. It is important to raise awareness about such incidents and support survivors of kidnapping and assault. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has taken swift action by charging McNabb with kidnapping and aggravated assault, increasing his bond to $27,500.
