Revanth Reddy Continues Phone Tapping Probe – NewsTap

Revanth Reddy Highlights New Telangana Emblem and Anthem Reflecting State Spirit

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has made clear that the investigation into the phone-tapping allegations will continue without any review. Speaking in New Delhi, Reddy highlighted the loss of several items related to phone tapping by the previous BRS regime and stressed the need to investigate the status of hard disks and data backups. He firmly stated that his government did not engage in phone tapping and emphasized the absence of “archy” in Telangana.
Regarding the Kaleshwaram project, Reddy mentioned that the Congress Government would wait for a judicial inquiry report before deciding on repairs to the Medigadda barrages. He pointed out the wastage of 52 TMC of water into the sea and the unnecessary expenditure on electricity due to the non-utilization of major barrages.
Revanth Reddy refuted claims of an electricity shortage in Telangana, assuring that despite increased consumption, the state was not experiencing power cuts.
Furthermore, Reddy announced that Telangana’s new emblem and anthem would capture the spirit of the state and its people. Writer Andeshree has been commissioned to design the anthem, with Keeravani set to compose the music. The emblem, not featuring the Kakatiya arch, will symbolize the Sammakka-Sarakka and Nagoba fairs, reflecting the struggles and sacrifices of Telangana. The Congress Government’s commitment to transparency and honoring the state’s legacy was underscored, with plans to unveil the emblem and anthem on the state’s formation day on June 2.
